Connecting with Fellow Believers

For any age, AUMC has a way to connect with your fellow Christians.  There are groups that meet regularly as well as dinners and annual events that not only allow an opportunity to serve but also are a great way to connect with others.

Youth Group

The youth group is for youth 6th through 12th grade.  They meet on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm at the church for dinner, fun fellowship and faith building lessons.  Outings are planned throughout the year including cosmic bowling, service projects, lock-ins, rock climbing and retreats.

United Methodist Women

The Acton UMW is active in supporting local and world-wide programs that help women, children and youth.  This group provides spiritual support and fellowship to the women at AUMC through retreats, book clubs, teas, luncheons and other circles.

Monthly Fellowship Dinner

Everyone is invited to our monthly fellowship dinners.  Dinner is served at 6:00 on the third Wednesday of most months.  Come for the delicious food and friendly conversation.

Vacation Bible School

Our annual vacation bible school (VBS) is always fun for the kids that come and the adults that volunteer to plan, prepare, setup and work the event.  Click for photos from past VBSs.

Garage Sale

Our annual garage sale is another opportunity to meet new people and connect with other members.  Workers are always appreciated to sort, price, cook meals and pickup donations during the weeks before and the day of the sale.  Click for photos from past Garage Sales.

Craft Fair

Our annual craft fair is held in late fall to help raise money for the various charities supported by Acton's United Methodist Women's group.  Ways to get involved include pie baking days, serving in the kitchen, craft making for the church booth or working the day of the fair.  Click for more information.

Advent Tea

The annual advent tea is held right after Thanksgiving.  Spend an evening with the women at AUMC, your neighbors and your friends in preparation for the advent season.  Tables are beautifully decorated, the food is always delicious and the entertainment is festive.  Click for more information.
